Hall Wind Meter (Rugged, Simple)

The Hall Wind Meter is the ideal hand-held wind-measuring instrument. Accurate and reliable, it never needs batteries. Available in two sizes as shown in the photo. The larger size is generally more useful for hang gliding, where the smaller size is more convenient to carry and is all that is needed for paragliding.

  • Large (hang gliding) 7 1/2" high (7-55 mph)
  • Small (paragliding) 4 1/2" high (7-30 mph, 15-50 kph)

How to use the Hall Wind Meter: To measure the wind, simply hold the Hall Wind Meter with the small tube at the bottom facing directly into the wind. Wind speed is indicated by the red disc floating on the stainless steel rod.
